OUR STORY
WHERE WE STARTED
Founded on a simple but radical conviction.
Freedom Collective Therapy was founded in 2025 on a simple but radical conviction: that healing belongs to everyone. We are a community-centered therapy practice committed to making mental health care genuinely accessible.
Our goal is to dismantle the financial, cultural, and systemic barriers that have kept too many people, especially those in marginalized communities, from getting the support they deserve. We believe care should meet people where they are, reflect who they are, and be delivered with both clinical excellence and deep humanity.
Beyond the therapy room, the Freedom Collective Podcast extends that mission into honest, open conversation about mental health, identity, and community.
Our name, and the waves that run through everything we make, carry a story of their own: a grandfather who loved the water, and a porch where community care happened long before anyone called it that.
2025
The practice opens
Founded on the belief that quality mental health care should not be reserved for those with the greatest access to it.
2026
The collective grows
Administrative staff join the practice, workshops begin, and the Freedom Collective Podcast, speaking engagements, and the WITHIN and THROUGH tools take shape.
